Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using VoiceMemoir, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

VoiceMemoir is an AI-powered tool that helps you capture life stories through voice recording, transcription, and narrative generation. The service includes voice recording, AI transcription, AI-generated memoir drafts, voice profile training, and book export.

Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use VoiceMemoir.
• One person or legal entity per account.

Your Content

You own everything you create. Your stories, transcripts, drafts, voice profiles, and finished memoirs are your intellectual property. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (transcription, draft generation, voice profile training). We will never sell your content, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the service.

Pricing & Payments

• Free tier: 5 story sessions at no cost.
• Story plan ($99): 50 story sessions, full voice training, digital book export.
• Legacy plan ($199): Unlimited sessions, narrative assembly, 1 printed book, family collaboration.
• All paid plans are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
• Printed book copies are charged separately at cost plus a small margin.
• Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase if you are not satisfied.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to create content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the service.
• Use the service to generate content that impersonates another person without their consent.
• Upload content that contains malware or harmful code.
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization.

AI-Generated Content

VoiceMemoir uses AI to generate memoir drafts based on your voice recordings and feedback. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publication.
• We do not guarantee that AI output will perfectly match your voice or intent.
• The approve/reject feedback system is designed to improve accuracy over time.

Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will notify users of planned maintenance when possible.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you can request export of your data within 30 days.

Limitation of Liability

VoiceMemoir is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. STANHATTIE LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email.
